Just What You Need

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

Entering into the Three Angels’ Curriculum Project, I began with a blank slate. I did not know that I would be creating videos, watercolor booklets, audio stories, children’s books, high school lesson plans.

I began the project with only two things. Prayer. And just enough faith.

And God did the rest.

I tackled one grade band at a time, cautiously, prayerfully, seeking God’s guidance. I dared not contemplate the enormity of the task. One foot in the water at a time, I listened for His voice.

As each piece of the curriculum began to take shape, my enthusiasm and faith grew. As my work on each grade band came to a close, I talked more earnestly with God. At no point in the process did He allow me to see the whole. And at no point in the process did He let me down. When it was time to proceed, He made the next step clear.

God is like that. He gives you what you need. When you need it. Not too much. Not too little. Just enough to do the task He has given you to do. Facing a challenge in your life? Start with prayer and just enough faith.

He’ll take it from there.
